Gifts & Treats is an artisan bakery based in Dublin, specializing in custom cakes, wedding cakes, birthday cakes, and breakfast hampers.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

3. Orders & Pricing

3.1 Placing an Order

• All orders are subject to acceptance by Gifts & Treats
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion
• Order confirmation will be sent via email once your order is accepted
• Product customizations (size, flavor, message) must be specified at the time of ordering

3.2 Pricing

• All prices are quoted in Euros (€) and include VAT where applicable
• Prices are subject to change without notice, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed
• Additional charges may apply for:
  • Specific cake sizes (8-inch and 10-inch cakes have price adjustments)
  • Premium flavors (e.g., Chocolate Biscuit incurs a surcharge)
  • Rush orders or same-day delivery (subject to availability)
• Product images are for illustration purposes only; actual products may vary slightly

3.3 Minimum Notice Period

• Standard Cakes: Minimum 48 hours notice
• Custom/Themed Cakes: Minimum 1 week notice
• Wedding Cakes: Minimum 6 weeks notice (consultation required)
• Breakfast Hampers: Minimum 24 hours notice

Rush orders may be accommodated subject to availability and additional charges.

4. Payment

4.1 Payment Methods

We accept payment via:

• Credit/Debit Cards (processed securely through Stripe)
• Bank Transfer
• Cash (for collection orders only)

4.2 Payment Terms

• Full payment is required at the time of order placement for online orders
• For custom wedding cakes, a 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking, with the balance due 2 weeks before the event
• All payments are processed securely; we do not store your credit card information

4.3 Failed Payments

If payment fails, we will contact you to arrange alternative payment. Orders will not be processed until payment is received.

5. Delivery & Collection

5.1 Delivery Areas

We deliver to the following areas in Dublin:

• Dublin City: D1/D01, D3/D03, D5/D05, D7/D07, D9/D09, D11, D13, D15, D17
• North County Dublin: Malahide (K36), Portmarnock (D13), Lusk (K45), Donabate (K36), Swords (K67)

Deliveries outside these areas may be arranged for large or wedding cake orders; please contact us to discuss.

5.2 Delivery Days

• Deliveries are available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday only
• Delivery times are scheduled between 9am-5pm
• You will be notified of an approximate delivery window

5.3 Delivery Charges

• Delivery charges may apply depending on order value and location
• Free delivery may be offered for orders over a certain value (as advertised)

5.4 Collection

• Free collection is available Wednesday to Saturday, 9am-5pm
• Please bring your order confirmation email or reference number
• Collection address will be provided in your order confirmation

5.5 Delivery Responsibility

• You are responsible for providing accurate delivery information (address, contact details)
• If you are not available to receive delivery, we will attempt to contact you
• We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect addresses or unavailability of the recipient
• Cakes are delicate; once delivered, responsibility for the product transfers to you

6. Product Customization

6.1 Customization Requests

• Custom designs and special requests are subject to availability and feasibility
• We will make every effort to fulfill your customization requests, but we cannot guarantee exact replication of inspiration images
• Edible images require clear, high-resolution photos
• Messages on cakes are limited to a reasonable length (typically up to 50 characters)

6.2 Dietary Requirements & Allergens

• Please inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of ordering
• While we take precautions, our kitchen handles common allergens (nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs, soy)
• We cannot guarantee 100% allergen-free products due to shared equipment
• If you have severe allergies, please contact us directly to discuss options

7. Cancellations & Refunds

7.1 Cancellation by Customer

• Standard Orders: Cancellations accepted up to 24 hours before scheduled delivery/collection for a full refund
• Custom Cakes: Cancellations accepted up to 48 hours before delivery/collection for a full refund
• Wedding Cakes: Cancellations accepted up to 2 weeks before the event for a 50% refund (deposit non-refundable)
• Cancellations within the notice period may result in a cancellation fee or no refund

7.2 Cancellation by Gifts & Treats

We reserve the right to cancel orders in the following circumstances:

• Unforeseen circumstances (e.g., equipment failure, ingredient unavailability)
• Inability to fulfill custom design requests
• Incorrect or fraudulent payment information

If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund.

7.3 Refund Processing

• Refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days
• Refunds will be issued to the original payment method

8. Product Quality & Issues

8.1 Quality Guarantee

We take pride in the quality of our products. All cakes are freshly baked using premium ingredients.

8.2 Reporting Issues

If you are not satisfied with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery/collection. Please provide:

• Order number
• Description of the issue
• Photos (if applicable)

8.3 Resolution

Depending on the nature of the issue, we may offer:

• Full or partial refund
• Replacement product
• Discount on future orders

8.4 Limitations

We are not responsible for:

• Damage caused after delivery/collection (e.g., during transport, storage, or display)
• Changes in appearance due to temperature fluctuations
• Minor variations in color, design, or decoration
• Personal taste preferences

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the product
• We are not responsible for events beyond our control (force majeure)

10.2 Product Use

• Products are intended for immediate consumption or proper refrigeration
• You are responsible for storing products correctly
• We recommend consuming cakes within 3 days of delivery

11. Privacy & Data Protection

Your personal information is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and GDPR requirements. By placing an order, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Discount Codes & Promotions

• Discount codes are subject to terms and conditions specified at the time of issuance
• Codes cannot be combined with other offers unless stated
• We reserve the right to withdraw or modify promotions at any time
• One discount code per order unless otherwise specified
• Codes may have expiry dates or usage limits
